Kunos Simulazioni has announced that their previously PC only racing sim is going to make its debue on consoles in 2016. The company has recently teamed up with 505 Games to make this happen and that’s not all. The PC version of this ultra realistic racing sim will also be getting new content which is going to be showcased at E3 2015 later this month.
Assetto Corsa originated as a Steam game on the PC spent a full year in “Early Access” before launching late last year. Early Access is an incentive for consumers to be able to play the unfinished game and help shape it in exchange for paying in full up front. This method was pioneered by Valve with their Steam game delivery software that has made them who they are today. The game focuses on realistic car handling and physics and boasts being one of the best racing sims out currently.
The announcement from Kunos Simulazioni stated gamers can expect over 100 cars, including such cars as the LaFerrari, Pagain Zonda R, McLaren’s Mp4-12C GT3 race car and Team Lotus’ 98T. 20 track configurations are also said to be expected.
It will include single and multiplayer modes which both have a career mode and tons of challenges to keep you and your friend’s busy. They also promise to deliver on the customization and modification options Assetto Corsa is known for.
