Images of the “iPhone 6S Plus” have surfaced thanks to Future Supplier and they seem to follow suite with with the changes we saw earlier in the month when the rear housing for the 4.7″ iPhone 6S was also leaked.
Future Supplier has noted a few slight differences between the iPhone 6S Plus and the iPhone 6 Plus including some changed screw locations like the ones that will be used to hold the loud speaker module in place once it is assembled. The website noted though that overall the device seems to be quite similar to last years version which is not unexpected since the “S” models in the past mostly just get an internal refresh.
Another difference that was noted by Future Supplier was that the material used in the creation of the new 6S Plus housing seems to be different and claimed to be stronger then last years phone, most likely to help solve the ‘bendgate’ issue many were having while sitting on their phones.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple has moved to a harder 7000 series aluminium which is alloyed with zinc and is what is used in the Sport models of the companies newly released wearable.
Future Supplier says they have not seen a new rumored rose gold color option yet but are expecting it and also the new camera, processor and Force Touch display won’t be confirmed until actual full units start turning up. Will there be a battery upgrade? we will have to just wait and see.
